The Voice of the Soul

A Journey into Wisdom and the Physics of God

by Judith Pennington

Until she was 38 years old, author Judith Pennington lived a life filled with pain, confusion and escape hatches. Then she heard a wise, loving inner voice guiding her, “...to release the darkness causing my physical pain, to cast into the water of life for reward and not punishment, to notice and take pleasure in nature’s beauty and, above all, to regain self-love.”

This journey from darkness to light is titled The Voice of the Soul and, in this reviewer’s opinion, is a book you should run, not walk, to read. It is the true story (although it reads like a well-written novel) of 5 failed marriages, booze, drugs, single parenthood and struggle that transformed into discovery of the highest truths in both her heart and mind and illuminated a path toward freedom and higher consciousness.

Here is one of the many truths (that really resonated with me) Judy discovered, “Within my heart and mind, in a blinding flash, every lingering confusion lifted and a thousand fragments fell into place. God is not to blame for the troubles in the world! God isn’t a being with feelings like love and hate, and does not judge or condemn us, nor is God a watchmaker meddling in human affairs...God is healing and growth, the forces at the root of nature and evolution!”

Judith Pennington believed in neither God nor herself until her journey began. The Voice of the Soul traces her voyage to the spiritual centers in Medjugorje, Findhorn and the isle of Iona---as well as those in her own psyche. Thus the second half of The Voice of the Soul is filled with the verbatim words of love and guidance Judith found within her Self, universal words of oneness with (and from) the Creator!

If you have time to read only one book, let it be The Voice of the Soul. Judith Pennington, who also gives us the companion CD of guided meditations, The Illuminated Door, has written an inspiring pathway to the wisdom and love waiting to be heard within all of us!
