From the Other Side of the Door By Jo Devlin |
Educator and author Jo Devlin writes in her new book, “I am an ordinary person who just happens to have been fortunate enough to have experienced extraordinary events in my life. I do not claim to be a psychic or someone who can, at will, call upon deceased individuals for conversation.” Yet, From the Other Side of the Door, is filled with her experiences with spirit guides or guardian angels. While Jo experienced contacts all her life, the understanding of them started with the death of her brother Jim in 2003. About a week later, Jo and her dad were in the kitchen talking about Jim. They heard a beeping sound. “Excitement swirled within my soul as I felt Jim’s arm around me. The clock, dad, the clock! It’s Jim and he’s here. He’s OK.” The beeping sound came from the clock Jo had given Jim about a week before
he died. As she reached for it, the time flipped from 8:01 AM to 8:01
PM, and the beeping stopped. “The clock was the vehicle for his
energy to communicate with me, letting me know that he was OK.” |

With her easy-to-read writing style, Jo recounts story after story, truth after truth, about how brother Jim continues to make contact. For instance, Jim smoked as a young man, but gave it up when he married the love of his life. Jo never smoked, and permitted no smoking in her house. Imagine Jo’s wonder when she smelled cigarette smoke in her home shortly after Jim’s death. “While standing just inside the doorway of the family room trying to decipher the situation, an energy of knowledge pounced into my brain. Jim! It was Jim who was here!” This reviewer has read many books about contact from the other side, but none as riveting and intriguing as From the Other Side of the Door. Jo Devlin has not only a gift for writing, she has the gift to recognize the signs of contact from the other world. |
