The Dancing Siamese Triplets

by Guy Hoffman

Playwright and seeker Guy Hoffman has created his fourth play, this time in book form. The Dancing Siamese Triplets is a fast-paced play about an author who is writing a play to save God. In his search, the author reads all kinds of religious and spiritual books, spends some time in a monastery, experiments with Zen and Yoga...and even TV evangelists.

“One night I was startled out of my sleep. At the foot of my bed was an apparition that resembled a thin figure with a beard...I heard a scream...God is crying out for help. If I don’t do something, I will hear that scream for the rest of my life.”

With a non-stop cast of characters coming and going on stage, the reader quickly discerns that the search is not so much to save God, but to find the true meaning of God. The three main characters; The Preacher, The Princess and the Macho Man each reveal their own view of who God is, or is not. Each view, we learn, is totally self-serving.

They discover, finally, that God resides in their (and our) souls. Most of all, they discover that by singing, dancing and being happy as One, they are saving God. Thus The Preacher, Princess and Macho Man are The Dancing Siamese Triplets.

Guy is a student of Gurdjieff, Kazantzakis, and yes, Ayn Rand. Their influences have led him to discover how to live with God. The Dancing Siamese Triplets is the marvelous story of that transformation and resulting enlightenment. In this reviewer’s opinion, The Dancing Siamese Triplets is a book you’ll recommend to all your friends!
